Hey gang,
Jeff (Greywolf) here form The 131 forums in Western, MA. Your very own Drool_bucket registered on our site and I thought I would return the favor as a way for our groups to cross promote events.

I am one of four club officers of The 131 Gaming Cub (currently the Administrative Officer). We are a club of roughly 50 members HQ'd out of Off the Wall Games in Hadley, MA. While 40K is probably the biggest draw currently, the club supports all GW systems and members play a wide variety of other games as well to include Warmachines, Hordes, Flames of War, etc. I personally am just a 40K man myself.

I invite you guys to swing by our forums, www.the131.com, and check us out. I will say you have to be a little more PG there as we have a junior member following which also have access to the forums. We currently have 12 junior members ranging in age from 11 to 15. So with watchful parents, we are a little more restrictive on language and such. But we have some great debates and other good posts for you to check out. I appreciate the more adult atmosphere here and am also a member of the Freebootaz (40K Radio forums) which is also a little more adult oriented.

Anyway, I'll quit rambling now and let you get back to browsing the rest of the forums! LOL

Hi Jeff! Last time I was out in Hadley, there was still a GW store in the mall near there. So it's been a while...

Good to hear there is a good community out there. I know it's a bit of a shlep (2.5 hours last time I drove it) but if you're at all interested we would love to have you at our upcoming tournament.

Likewise let us know if you have stuff coming up--stopping through my old stomping grounds in the Northhampton area might be fun.

And yeah, there's a lot of cussing and porn talk on the website, but I'm sure we can tone it down for other boards, or in person. (Well, most of us.)

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm hoping to get to more events out on that side of the state more often. I'll admit I'm completely a beer and pretzels player, but I'll throw my hat into the tourney ring if for no other reason than to get to meet new players and play against them win or lose. I was hoping you guys would be up for cross promotion. Your event is already posted on our boards and I'll be checking the procedure here for doing the same with our events.

I know you guys are people like the rest of us, just wanted to let you know our site was minor friendly before anyone posted something without knowing. I use some foul language too, but I wouldn't do it in front of a bunch of kids as I'm sure you guys wouldn't. So its all good.

We do have some upcoming events so I'll be sure to look at the posting procedure here shortly. Thanks again guys.

Sure, put them up! We aren't a store and have no interest in making money, just friends. Our tournament's only design is to bring more people into our gaming group. We will often make Dorka road trips to different torni's as that is also a way to get our name out there and meet new people.

Hopefully we can attend your event and strengthen the gaming community.

This is going to be a very "beer and pretzels" tournament. Literally, in fact, there will be beer, and likely be pretzels.

Sportsmanship, comp, and painting are all tantamount. Winning At All Costs will definitely lose you the tournament...battle scores are really only a small part of the outcome. So drop in, I think you'll find it to your liking.

posting procedure?

yeah, just toss it up. Our forums only have one rule, that's there are no rules. Everything else is open for posting and we police our own if you fail to add NSFW (not safe for work) or ignorant comments about people's race, creed, sexual orientation (except LGM) or religion. Well, commenting about religion will probably get a bunch of responses from us ranging from that's nice, to you're an idiot, to Jews are people, too.

but I disgress.

Sounds great guys! Here's hoping my schedule pans out. I didn't see anything in the events section for steps to post and just was going to post up one, but I can't post in that area. Do I need to post is somewhere else or send it to one of the admins to post?
